Safety reviews for the Mazda CX-30 are superb, although the NHTSA has yet to rate the 2023 model comprehensively. Full marks were awarded for frontal crash tests, and four out of five for rollover tests. However, the 2022 versions received full marks in three of the four categories tested by the NHTSA. From the IIHS, the Mazda CX-30 receives only top scores as well as a Top Safety Pick+ award for 2022.
NHTSA safety ratings are not available at this time.
Even the base model gets a fair number of standard safety features, which explains the good crash test results for the Mazda CX-30. Naturally, it has ABS, EBD, traction and stability control, as well as a set of ten airbags: dual front, front side, front knee, rear side, and side curtain. More advanced safety features on the Mazda CX-30 include a rearview camera, smart brake support, driver attention alert, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning. Moving up through trim levels adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and an active driving display. The top trim comes with a surround-view camera system as standard.

Reliability reviews of the CX-30 show some improvement over the last two years, since the 2021 Mazda CX-30 has two recalls to its name. These were for a faulty power liftgate and a tire air valve that may leak. There are no recalls for 2022 or 2023.
The Mazda CX-30's warranty plan is pretty average in comparison to competitors like the Hyundai Kona. It comprises three years/36,000 miles of limited coverage and five years/60,000 miles of powertrain coverage, as opposed to the ten-year/100,000-mile warranty offered by the aforementioned competition. 24/7 Roadside assistance is available for the duration of the limited warranty.
