The CX-7 is, well, a midsize crossover. Not much else either. A few years ago, we would have slammed the CX-7 for its poor reliability, but Mazda has now sorted those issues out, and the styling has been improved as well. In fact, in a segment dominated by snore-inducing styling, the CX-7 is one of the better examples of the breed. Mazda’s big-grin fascia motif is here toned-down, and the overall proportions are noticeably more graceful than those found in much of the competition. The interior is not spectacular, but it is in keeping with the price, same story with the performance. It’s an average vehicle with above-average looks.
