2024 Mazda CX-90 Trims & Specs

There are no fewer than eight models in the Mazda CX-90 range: Turbo Select, Turbo Preferred, Turbo Preferred Plus, Turbo Premium, Turbo Premium Plus, Turbo S, Turbo S Premium, and Turbo S Premium Plus. The mechanical specifications don't vary a lot; there are just two engine configurations - a 3.3 turbocharged inline six with either 280 or 340 horsepower - and the same eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD system on all trim levels. Instead of a long list of package choices or many options, Mazda believes that the eight trims should give you all the logical combinations of features and specs you'd want in a Mazda CX-90.

Considering the base six-cylinder Turbo Select trim with standard AWD is less than $1k more expensive than the old base CX-9 with a four-cylinder engine and FWD, it's excellent value and Mazda hasn't skimped on features. It comes as standard with automatic LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, eight seats, three-zone climate control, push-button start, leatherette upholstery, a power driver's seat, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring and an eight-speaker audio system. Driver assists are plentiful and include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing wipers.

Moving up the range adds features such as bigger wheels, more paint colors, a powered steering column, leather upholstery, heated seats, a larger touchscreen with more features, upgraded audio systems, and more. Additional driver assists such as automatic emergency braking, front cross-traffic alert, and turning cross-path alert with braking also become available.
