2022 Mazda 3 Sedan Trims & Specs

Eight models make up the 2022 Mazda 3 Sedan lineup; the 2.0, 2.5 S, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, Premium, 2.5 Turbo, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus. Standard in just the entry-spec 2.0 is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 155 hp and 150 lb-ft. Standard from the 2.5 S through to the Premium is a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine with 186 hp and 186 lb-ft. Powering the two 2.5 Turbo-spec models is a 250-hp, 310-lb-ft 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit. Front-wheel drive is standard on all naturally-aspirated models while all-wheel drive is standard with the turbocharged ones and optional for certain nat-asp ones. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard across the board.

While not particularly extensive, even the entry-spec Mazda 3's come standard with plenty of premium comforts, conveniences, and tech. Full-LED exterior lighting is standard across the board along with high-beam control, radar cruise control, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, and a driver-assist suite comprising driver attention alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning. Upgrading from the entry-spec 2.0 sees the addition of a color infotainment screen and smartphone integration in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. From there, Mazda begins to add enhancements such as a leather-clad steering wheel and shifter, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. Further up in the line you get premium features such as a head-up display, steering wheel heating, heated front seats, and a power sunroof.
