With a power-retractable roof, the Mazda MX-5 Miata RF adds a dash of style and enhanced refinement to one of the most-loved sports cars in the world. Two trims are available, each powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. You can choose between a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic, but rear-wheel-drive is standard on every version.
The entry-level trim is the Club, enhanced this year with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These features can be accessed via the seven-inch touchscreen which also packs in HD radio and voice commands. The snug cabin gets standard air-conditioning and black sport seats upholstered in cloth, along with three-level heating. A nine-speaker Bose surround-sound system is fitted for the enjoyment of the driver and passenger. Outside, besides the power-retractable roof, you also get 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights. Stepping up to the Grand Touring trim adds smartly trimmed leather sports seats (with silver stitching) and automatic climate control. An auto-dimming rearview mirror, Mazda’s navigation system, and an adaptive front-lighting system are other amenities that set the range-topper apart. This year, Grand Tourings equipped with the manual gearbox get an upgraded sport-tuned suspension, Bilstein dampers, and a limited-slip differential - these features were previously only standard on the manual Club. An attractive red Nappa leather cabin is a new option on the Grand Touring.
