The McLaren 570GT is based on an existing model that falls under McLaren’s Sports Series of cars. It is designed to be a more comfortable and less frantic alternative to the excellent 570S. With this in mind, it gets reduced spring rates at the front and rear, along with a kerbside-opening glass hatch that allows access to a cargo area between the seats and the engine. However, you still get breathtaking performance courtesy of a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 562 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission directs power to the rear wheels exclusively, while a system called McLaren Brake Steer controls the output of each of those rear wheels, helping to improve handling in the bends. Standard features include heated power-adjustable seats, dual-zone climate control, and adaptive dampers.
