For the time being, the W206 Mercedes-AMG C43 is only available as a sedan in the USA. A good old wagon is available in European regions, but that's unlikely to ever come state-side. It is already understood that no C206 coupe variation of the C-Class will be introduced as the rumored upcoming CLC may fulfill this role. Based on appearances, the Mercedes-AMG C43's exterior is fairly reserved compared to the previous-generation model. However, there are still some distinctive features that separate it from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class range. These include larger size air intakes on the front bumper together with a more prominent lower air dam, a Panamericana grille located between the LED headlights, a slightly wider set of wheel arches, and a bulkier rear bumper with a unique diffuser and quad-exhaust pipe outlet surrounded by a silver trimming. The trunk-mounted spoiler rounds off the athletic look together with a unique set of aerodynamic alloy wheels. Bear in mind that C300 AMG-Line models feature almost identical bumpers and wheels, but as standard, it gets a grippy set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires.
The C43 sits on the larger side of the compact executive sedan segment with a length of 188.6 inches, a width of 80 inches, including the door mirrors, a height of 57.1 inches, and a wheelbase of 112.8 inches. As you'd expect, this is pretty much the same as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class range, but the AMG measures slightly taller and longer. But its width is where the biggest increase is seen due to those flared arches. With all of its technical components attached to the chassis, the C43 is a hefty sedan, tipping the scales at 3,893 pounds. Compared to the car's biggest rival, the BMW M340i, the C43 measures larger in all dimensions.

There are 11 exterior colors available for the Mercedes-AMG C43 sedan which are split into two categories. The standard metallic shades consist of Black, Cirrus Silver, Graphite Gray, Lunar Blue, Mojave Silver, Obsidian Black, Polar White, and Starling Blue. Optional Manufaktur shades consist of Cardinal Red, Selenite Gray, and Moonlight White. Pricing for each shade has not been confirmed for the C43 at the time of compiling this review, but based on the brand's standardized pricing, we can assume that Black and Polar White are the only no-cost colors. Cirrus Silver, Graphite Gray, Lunar Blue, Mojave Silver, Obsidian Black, and Starling Blue are $750 options while the Manufaktur colors will add $1,750 to the final price apart from the Selenite which is a $3,250 option.
There is quite a wide range of shades to select from, but for a truly striking look, we'd suggest one of the three Manufaktur colors, if you can fit the fairly large price tag.
Manufaktur Selenite Gray is the most expensive paint option for the Mercedes-AMG C43 by a large margin with a cost of $3,250.
A power glass panoramic sunroof is optionally available in the Mercedes-AMG C43.
18-inch alloy wheels are standard on the Mercedes-AMG C43, but 19- and 20-inch designs are optionally available.
AMG offers two Night and one Carbon Fiber package for its sports sedan, adding a variety of unique trimmings to help visually separate it from the base trim.
