The Mercedes-AMG C63 is offered in two guises for 2021, but both feature a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that directs its power to the rear wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. While the base model rides on 18-inch wheels and wears gray paint on its calipers, the S model gets 19-inch alloys with red brake calipers. Those red bits indicate that you’re getting high-performance brakes as standard, but the C63 S also boasts the addition of dynamic engine mounts and a steering-mounted drive mode selector. But if you get the so-called base model, you still get a Burmester sound system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio. But despite a premium price, you have to pay extra for navigation on either model.
There are numerous options available for the C63, one of which is a set of ventilated front seats that add $450 to your build. Also available is the Multimedia Package for $1,250. This adds navigation with map updates for three years, enhanced voice control, and three years of live traffic updates. Wireless charging is a standalone option at $200 while the head-up display costs $1,100. The Parking Assistance Package adds parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and a surround-view camera for the same price, but those obsessed with safety can also opt for the Driver Assistance Package at $1,700, adding adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, automatic emergency braking, lane change assist, and rear crash preparation.
