When it comes to cars like this, power matters. And the E63 S has 603 horses to brag about. That’s too many horses for a rear-wheel-drive platform that also needs to be practical, so AWD is offered as standard. You can disengage it if the need for sideways antics strikes, but be warned. When the car says everything is switched off, it really is switched off. There isn’t a last-second electronic nanny that’s going to save the day. As the halo model in the E-Class range, the E63 S is equipped with 20-inch alloys, heated and ventilated front seats, and dual 12.3-inch displays. We do find it odd that you have to pay extra for the best driver assistance features, but you do get attention assist, crosswind assist, blind spot monitoring, and a surround-view monitor as standard.
