The GLC 63 and 63 S are the most powerful versions of Mercedes’ coupe-SUV. With plenty of fettling from AMG, they not only look the part, but provide dramatic performance too. Both use a bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive. The 63’s peak outputs are 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, increasing to 503 hp and 516 lb-ft for the 63 S.
Externally, the LED headlamps have been revised for a more aggressive look, with the chromed grille featuring a wider base. 20-inch wheels, LED tail lamps, quad exhaust outlets, privacy glass, and a rearview camera are further exterior features. Inside, a fashionable and aggressive mix of Nappa leather, MB-Tex and Dinamica feel and look fantastic. Mercedes’ latest MBUX infotainment system comprises a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, while a 12.3-inch digital instrument display sits ahead of the driver. Power front seats with heating, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, and power-folding exterior mirrors are all standard. Seven airbags and the Pre-Safe accident detection system increase the safety score, while Distronic cruise control and active lane-keeping assist are among the options.
