The 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster comes in two variants, each of which is fitted with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a rear-wheel-drive layout. The base version rides on 19-inch wheels and features LED headlights and taillights, along with heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and neck warmers. This base variant produces 469 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque and has a top speed of 189 mph. The GTC variant is more powerful, with 550 horses and 502 lb-ft of twist, but it also gains additional standard equipment like adaptive dampers, rear-axle steering, a Burmester sound system, keyless entry and ignition, ventilated seats, and safety add-ons like lane keep assist and blind-spot monitoring. Each model can be equipped with adaptive cruise control at an added cost, but there is not a great deal of safety equipment available for these cars.
