The interior of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is as gorgeous as you'd expect from the brand, especially now that it is truly gunning for S-Class levels of opulence. Only the best materials are used inside the cabin, and the features are laid out in a stylish but ergonomic manner. The dashboard isn't overly busy, and interacting with it is a pleasure, especially with the available MB-Tex trim. Loads of comfort tech come standard, there is more space than ever for all five passengers, and the infotainment is state-of-the-art - just as good as you'd find in the brand's flagship model. This includes a voice assistant and wireless smartphone integration, and an available Burmester 3D sound system. The cabin can be dressed in a variety of color schemes, and there are metal and natural wood trims to match.
Getting in and out of the C-Class sedan is an easy affair, with a high roofline and low seats. There is also more interior space than ever before now that this generation is longer and wider than it once was. The driver and front-seat passenger enjoy 41.7 inches of legroom and a respectable 37.2 inches of headroom, while those in the back get a little more headroom and 36 inches of legroom - almost a full inch more than the last generation. The front-row seats of the C-Class are power adjustable with memory settings and heating as standard, while ventilation is optional. There is seating for up to five people, though four are better accommodated in comfort.

Mercedes' proprietary MB-Tex synthetic leather upholstery is standard on the base model. With this, the standard interior colors for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan include Black, Sienna Brown/Black, and Macchiato Beige. There are slight variations in style if you opt for the AMG-Line MB-Tex, with Neva Grey replacing Macchiato Beige - and you'll need to add the $3,050 AMG-Line Package to access these. For full leather in these options and a striking Power Red/Black combo, add a further $1,620 on top of that.
The most opulent material on offer is Nappa leather at $2,590. However, the hues are rather subdued, with only Black and Sienna Brown offered. All of these fine choices can be paired with a wide range of trim accents. Only Natural Grain Black wood with Aluminum lines will cost you extra ($200). The rest all come free and include Fineline Anthracite, Brown Ash, and Natural Grain Brown Walnut for the wood options, and Silver Diamond Pattern or Metal Weave for the synthetic accents.
Luxury sedans are not known for their impressive cargo capacity, and even with its slight growth spurt, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class's cargo space is lackluster. Only 12.6 cubic feet of space is available, but the rear seats can be folded down to accommodate larger items. The standard power-operated, hands-free trunk lid makes access easy.
Inside the cabin, there is a standard glove compartment, as well as a center armrest cubby. Two cup holders are located in the front console, while the fold-down armrest in the back houses an additional two.

This includes a 12.3-inch driver-information display, dual-zone climate control, keyless start-and-go, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a sunroof, and ambient lighting. A head-up display can supplement the driver-info system, and the seats can be upgraded with ventilation. A panoramic roof is available, as well as a heated steering wheel. The driver-assistance suite comprises blind-spot assist, attention assist, active brake assist, and Mercedes Pre-safe, while Parktronic with active park assist and a surround-view camera are equipped as you move through the trim levels. A dashcam is also available.
The C-Class has inherited its latest infotainment system with MBUX from the larger and more luxurious S-Class. As such, it is quite comprehensive. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth streaming and a large 11.9-inch touchscreen display. Navigation is available with an augmented video option on higher trims. SiriusXM is also available, and the standard sound system can be upgraded to a premium 15-speaker Burmester 3D Surround setup.
The C-Class can store up to 12.6 cubic feet of cargo in the trunk with the back seats in the upright position, which is average for the luxury segment.
There are a total of five seats in the cabin of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, though four people are better accommodated in luxury.
There are two cupholders in the front center console, and an extra pair in the rear fold-down armrest.
