The Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class lineup comprises just one trim in two configurations: the CLA 250 and the CLA 250 4Matic. The only difference between the models is that the 4MATIC offers an all-wheel-drive system, and the base model comes with FWD as standard. Both models employ a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with specs of 221 hp, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The standard features on both models include a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry and push-button start, ambient LED lighting, dual-zone climate control, and two seven-inch screens making up the infotainment and instrumentation clusters. The seven-inch touchscreen in the center boasts Bluetooth streaming, HD Radio, and full smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A plethora of standard safety features are also included, but a quick look at the options list can see the CLA blossom into a semi-autonomous luxury coupe with a price tag to match.
If you want to customize your CLA, Mercedes-Benz makes a host of additional packages available for this. The Premium Package costs $1,750 and adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster of the same size, power-folding side mirrors, and an auto-dimming feature for the interior and driver's side mirrors. The Multimedia Package includes navigation with augmented video, as well as speed limit assistance for $1,300. The $2,700 AMG line adds unique body styling with 18-inch wheels, a chrome grille, and sport steering wheel. The AMG line w/Night package adds black wheels along with all of the same features as the AMG line package for $3,100. Standalone options are worth considering too, like the $850 Burmester 12-speaker sound system, or the $500 heated front seats. Adaptive LED headlights with high beam assist can also be equipped for $900 via the Exterior Lighting package.
