2023 EQB SUV Exterior
From a distance, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you're looking at a GLB-Class. But get up close, and you'll notice the Mercedes EQB SUV exterior has several distinguishing features. Like the larger EQ Mercs, the EQB has a more rounded front end. The headlights flow into the larger Black Panel grille, unlike the GLB.
From the side, it's more difficult to tell the EQB apart from its ICE sibling, but there are subtle differences. The electric variant receives model-specific aero wheels - sized 18 inches on the 350+ and 300 models and 19 inches on the 350. Around back, the EQB has a fashionable LED lightbar (like the rest of the EQ range).
The trims differ little, but in addition to the larger wheels, the EQB 350 also receives a standard panoramic sunroof (available on the 300 at extra cost). But, being a Mercedes, there's a smorgasbord of optional extras for you to wade through. Both can be specified with AMG body styling and five-spoke wheels, available in 18- or 19-inches.
A Gloss Black exterior accent package is also available and should lend the EQB a more sinister look.

Dimensions
Despite the generously-sized interior, the dimensions of the Mercedes-Benz EQB SUV are relatively compact. The electric SUV measures 184.4 inches in length, a tiny bit longer than the GLB. It's also not much longer than a GLA, so the EQB should prove easy to park, at least.
In terms of width, there's nothing between the EQB and GLB - both measure 79.6 in from side to side, and it's the same when it comes to the wheelbase. The EQB has a 111.3-inch-long wheelbase, which is longer than larger SUVs, like the Discovery Sport and Audi Q5. The 2023 EQB isn't a towering leviathan, measuring 65.6 inches in height.
But those compact exterior dimensions belie a pavement crunching curb weight. The 300 and 350 models tip the scales at 4,718 lbs, which is remarkably heavy for a compact SUV. The single-motor EQB 250+ will likely weight less, but an exact figure hasn't been confirmed by Mercedes yet.

Exterior Colors
Potential buyers are spoilt for choice regarding the 2023 EQB SUV's nine exterior colors. You can choose from subtle gloss shades like Polar White and Night Black or the seven available metallic hues. The more conservative among us will gravitate towards Digital White, Cosmos Black, Iridium Silver, or Mountain Gray Metallic. However, the EQB's funky styling works particularly well with a brighter shade, like Manufaktur Patagonia Red metallic and Rose Gold. If that's a touch too flashy for your tastes, perhaps the tasteful Denim Blue metallic is the perfect compromise.
