The exterior styling of the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is very much in line with modern EVs. It has a very sleek design, with a steeply sloped hood that runs down to a see-through grille panel that houses that famous tri-star logo nestled among a constellation of smaller three-point stars. The headlights are high up and naturally fully LED, with LED taillights. The brake-light bar runs the entire width of the car, broken into segments by the power-operated liftgate. A panorama roof is included even on the base model. A slightly bolder, dark-trimmed exterior is present on the 500 4Matic, which gets the AMG Line exterior and 20-inch alloys as standard.
Not quite the same size as the BMW iX with which it competes, the Mercedes EQE SUV has more modest exterior dimensions. It makes use of a 119.3-inch wheelbase, with a 191.5-inch body straddled on top. The SUV stands 66.3 inches tall in height and has a width of 76.4 inches without the mirrors - and 84.3 inches with them. The curb weight of the base model is a hefty 5,300 pounds, with the 500 4Matic maxing out the scales at 5,565 lbs. The low ground clearance of 5.2 inches is more akin to that of a car than an SUV.
