With a new addition for 2023, the Mercedes EQS lineup now comprises three trims: the EQS 450+ Sedan, EQS450 4Matic, and the EQS 580 4Matic Sedan. The 450+ features a single motor on the rear axle producing 329 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque, while the similarly named 450 4Matic gains a second motor on the front axle, and increases outputs to 355 hp and 590 lb-ft. The EQS 580 4Matic gets two electric motors and a power output of 516 hp and 631 lb-ft.
All trims feature a panoramic sunroof, air suspension, and rear-axle steering. Biometric authentication and a 56-inch Hyperscreen dashboard housing three individual screens showcase the technology on offer, while power-adjustable seating and ambient lighting showcase some of the more traditional luxury to be had. All trims boast heated and ventilated seats, adaptive headlights, a Burmester 3D sound system, and a slew of safety systems. Thereafter, a choice of Premium, Exclusive, or Pinnacle sub-trims unlocks further luxury and convenience.
The exterior of the base model can be adorned with the $2,200 AMG Line exterior package, which adds AMG lower bodywork, including flared side sills and twin diffusers in the rear. This is standard on the EQS 580 4Matic. Inside, the EQS Sedan is offered with an AMG Line interior, adding sport front seats, a sport steering wheel, AMG floor mats, and other AMG Line interior appointments. The Winder package includes a heated steering wheel, a heated windshield, and heated rear seats for $1,580. Only available on upper sub-specs, the Executive Rear Seat Plus Package adds multicontour rear seats with rapid heating, neck-level heating, and massage function, and you get a rear-seat tablet.
A few standalone items include a heated steering wheel, head-up display, and adaptive cabin lighting.
