The EQS SUV exterior takes most of its styling cues from other EQ cars and from the EQS sedan, complete with the big black fake grille and LED Digital Light headlights. The 450 trims look the same on the outside, with 20-inch five-spoke aero alloy wheels and the standard front and rear bumpers. Seven styles of 21-inch alloys are optional on the 450s, but some require additional packages to be specified. The 580s get the AMG Line Exterior package with its 21-inch alloy wheels and different front and rear fascias, but this is optionally available on the 450 trims. The 580s have access to three different styles of 21-inch alloy wheels. Optional on all trims are items such as an illuminated Mercedes star in the grille and aerodynamic illuminated running boards. A panorama roof is standard on base models.
The dimensions of the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV mark it as one of the largest electric SUVs out there, with a length of 201.9 inches, a wheelbase of 126.4 inches, a width of 77.1 inches without the mirrors (84.9 inches with mirrors included), and a height of 67.6 inches.
The RWD 450+ is the lightest configuration, with a curb weight of 5,963 pounds. The dual-motor models are heavier, with the 450 4Matic weighing in at 6,206 lbs and the 580 4Matic at 6,228 lbs. Due to its size, weight, and limited ground clearance, the EQS SUV is no off-roader and even with the air suspension in its highest setting, ground clearance is less than nine inches.

The available exterior colors for the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV are the same for all models and trims and palette is limited to mostly demure grayscale tones. The seven no-cost options are Polar White, Black, and five metallics: Obsidian Black, Cirrus Silver, Selenite Grey, Twilight Blue, and Emerald Green. Two $1,750 Manufaktur colors are offered and they are Diamond White metallic and Alpine Grey.
The grayscale colors are not very exciting and we think dark Emerald Green metallic looks great on the EQS SUV.
There are two Manufaktur colors available on the EQS SUV, namely Diamond White metallic and Alpine Grey. They both cost $1,750.
Every EQS SUV has a power sliding/tilting panoramic roof.
