GLE 350 4Matic, GLE 450 4Matic, GLE 450e 4Matic, and GLE 580 4Matic comprise the lineup of four Mercedes GLE-Class SUV trims, and their specs vary from 255 hp to 510 hp. The 350 has a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 48V mild-hybrid assistance to help it produce 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The GLE 450e plug-in hybrid uses the 350 4Matic's powertrain with an electric motor to produce 381 hp. The GLE 450 4Matic's turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder produces 375 hp and 369 lb-ft, while the GLE 580 is the only trim equipped with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that's good for 510 hp and 538 lb-ft. All models use a nine-speed automatic transmission and have mostly similar standard features; AWD is standard across the range.
All trim levels get the same safety and driver-assistance features, MBUX infotainment, and features such as dual-zone climate control, heated power front seats, and a power sunroof. The 350 comes with the standard steel suspension, with adaptive AirMatic air suspension optional on the 450 and standard on the 580. The 350 and 450 trims' exterior specifications include 19-inch alloys, while the GLE 580 runs on 20-inch wheels and is fitted with the AMG Line exterior package - an option on the others. Additional options include four-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.
