2019 Cooper Clubman Interior
The Mini Clubman doesn't disappoint when you climb inside. While it may be a more functional hatchback, it still feels like you're in the cockpit of an athletic roadster. However, it's naturally more spacious than your run-of-the-mill Mini. There's more than enough space for four or five, and they'll all be seated in the lap of luxury, with premium materials covering every surface. There's even a pretty spacious trunk - for a Mini, that is. The dashboard isn't overly cluttered due to the relatively sparse tech offering, and the standard infotainment screen is quite small. If you want an even sportier feel to your Clubman, the Cooper S model comes with sports front seats and extra seat adjustments.

Seating and Interior Space
Built to accommodate passengers more readily than a standard Mini Cooper, the Clubman has more head- and legroom to go around. Naturally, those in the front seats get the lion's share, with room to stretch their legs, but no extremely tall person would feel cozy in a Mini. For a change, the rear seats aren't reserved for small children. There is actually a fair amount of head- and legroom, but you may still want to limit the occupancy to two adults. The Cooper models come equipped with six-way manual front seats, while the Cooper S upgrades to eight-way manual sports front seats with thigh extensions. Thus, it's pretty easy to find a comfortable driving position, and the wide-opening doors make it just as easy to enter or exit the hatchback. Overall, visibility is quite good, unless you decide to overpack the somewhat small trunk.

Interior Colors and Materials
The Mini Clubman is a premium hatchback, so it's not surprising that the choice of materials is top-notch. Leatherette upholstery comes standard, with available colors including Carbon Black on the Classic sub-trim, while the Signature opens up the palette a bit. It also gets access to cloth/leather upholstery, in either Cord/Carbon Black or Black Pearl. The Signature Upholstery Package gives the mid-tier trim the same standard leather as the top-tier Iconic. This material is offered in Carbon Black, while the Chesterfield leather option adds Indigo Blue and Satellite Grey. Mini Yours Lounge Leather is available, too, at a $500 surcharge, although it is only offered in Carbon Black. On any model outfitted with the Upholstery Package, interior trim options include Piano Black or a choice of illuminated trims, including Mini Yours Piano Black or Fiber Alloy.
2019 Cooper Clubman Trunk and Cargo Space
Minis are not known for their practicality, but the Clubman makes a pretty valiant effort to change this reputation. With the rear seats in place, the trunk supplies a modest 17.5 cubic feet, accessed via the split rear doors. While still not astounding, this is enough space for most daily needs, such as grocery shopping, but you'll struggle to fit even carry-on luggage for four passengers. If it's just you and your partner, you can fold down the rear seats in a 60/40 split to expand the trunk to 47.9 cubic feet. This is enough room for a few larger suitcases. Still, more traditional hatchbacks like the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra GT have the Mini beat in both configurations, with 25.7 cubic feet and 24.9 cubic feet, respectively.
Small-item storage is pretty generous for such a diminutive vehicle. Each of the four doors supplies a spacious door pocket, and there are cupholders supplied in each row of seats. There is also a standard glove compartment. But, unlike the smaller Cooper Hardtop, the Clubman gets a center console with a pretty spacious storage bin.

2019 Cooper Clubman Infotainment and Features
Features
In its most basic guise, the Mini Clubman is quite sparingly equipped. But, as a vehicle designed to be fun to drive, it's still quite pleasant to be inside. Leatherette upholstery comes standard, along with manual air conditioning. Both of these can be upgraded to genuine leather and automatic dual-zone climate control, respectively. Similarly, six-way manual front seats come standard on the Cooper, while the Cooper S gets eight-way sports seats. Other basic features include remote keyless entry, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors. By upgrading the sub-trims, you can also equip your Clubman with a panoramic sunroof, forward collision avoidance, and proximity keyless entry. The available packages also offer adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, parallel parking assist, and a head-up display.
Infotainment
While the infotainment suite may not be all that comprehensive, its lack of convolution certainly makes it easy to use. The Classic sub-trims get a 6.5-inch display that offers access to AM/FM Radio and Bluetooth functionality, although there is an auxiliary audio jack to connect an MP3 player. Only one USB port comes standard. The Signature sub-trim upgrades the display to a touchscreen, but if you want smartphone integration, you have to go all the way to the top. The Iconic sub-trim upgrades the interface to an 8.8-inch model and replaces the standard six-speaker sound system with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon set-up. At this point, you can option on the Touchscreen Navigation Package to add Apple CarPlay and built-in navigation.
