2021 Mini Cooper Electric Hardtop Review

To build the Cooper SE, Mini shoehorned the electric motor from a BMW i3S under the hood. To be fair, the rest of the packaging is smart. It has no impact on interior and trunk space, not that the Cooper two-door had lots, to begin with. The electric motor only produces 184 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, but the Cooper SE is quite brisk due to the nature of the power delivery. It feels faster than the figures suggest. The standard specification includes leatherette seats that look as good as the real thing, heated front seats, and a 6.5-inch infotainment screen. The Cooper SE is only dragged down by its abysmal range of 110 miles.
