The Mini Cooper Countryman is available in four models: Cooper, Cooper ALL4, Cooper S, and Cooper S ALL4. Under the hood of the Cooper models is a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that develops 134 hp and 162 lb-ft. The Cooper S models get a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder developing 189 hp and 207 lb-ft. Either engine can be paired to a front-wheel drivetrain, which sees them mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox, or an all-wheel drivetrain, which gets the eight-speed automatic transmission instead.
The entry-level Cooper rides on 17-inch alloys and comes with automatic headlights and a panoramic moonroof. Leatherette-appointed manually adjustable seats come standard, along with cruise control, manual air conditioning, and the Active Driving Assistant safety suite, which comprises rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and forward collision avoidance. The infotainment consists of a 6.5-inch display, rotary knobs, AM/FM/CD compatibility, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker sound system.
Depending on sub-trim and packages, the Countryman can also be outfitted with 18- or 19-inch wheels, LED headlights and cornering lights, LED fog lights, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, eight-way heated power front seats, front parking sensors, an 8.8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Each model of the Countryman is customizable in some form or another. The Signature Package adds $3,000 to the bill in exchange for extra color options, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Comfort Access, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen. Similarly, the Iconic Package ($8,500) adds further color options, 19-inch wheels, LED fog lights and headlights, eight-way power front seats with memory, an 8.8-inch touchscreen with navigation, SiriusXM, Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charging device, along with unique Mini Yours styling options.
