The punchier engine gives the Countryman a bit more character, and the same goes for the appearance of the larger 18-inch alloy wheels. It’s no more luxurious than the base car, as is reflected in the price. If you want more luxury, you have to pay extra for one of the sub-trims, though you now get to choose Signature and Iconic, which add a lot more. Without the AWD system, the Cooper S is a bit lighter on its feet, and more willing to have some fun. Unless you live in a cold-weather state, this is the model to have.
