The 2019 Mini John Cooper Works Clubman is the range-topping tier of the larger, more practical Clubman range. Divided into three sub-trims, you can choose between Classic, Signature, and Iconic. Whichever sub-trim you opt for, all use the same 228 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, with transmission choices being a six-speed manual or optional eight-speed automatic. All-wheel-drive is standard. The Classic has manual climate control, a 6.5-inch infotainment screen, 18-inch wheels, JCW sports seats, a rearview camera, and rear park distance control. Move up the trim levels, and you’ll get features like a panoramic sunroof, Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon sound system, forward collision warning and dynamic damper control.
Besides a generous range of color and trim options, Mini also affords you the opportunity to add on a few optional extras. The Driver Assistance package costs $1,250 and can be added to the top two sub-trims - it includes a parking assistant, a head-up display, active cruise control, and park distance control, all for added safety. The Premium Package costs $2,250 and can only be added to Signature models (Classic models don't have access to this package and it's standard on the Iconic). Premium Package features include auto-dimming mirrors, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, SiriusXM satellite radio, power front seats and power-folding mirrors. The Touchscreen Navigation package adds a host of connectivity features to the Signature sub-trim. For $1,700, you get navigation, wireless charging, enhanced Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. A Signature Upholstery package is also available at $2,000, with a MINI Yours leather steering wheel and Cooper S sports seats part of the upgrades. Worthwhile standalone options include the Harman Kardon sound system for $750 and satellite radio for $300.
