The top-of-the-line Platinum grade Altima benefits from many of the same upgrades as the sporty SR, but does without the paddle shifters and sport-tuned suspension, meaning you can have the potency of the 2.0T engine as well as the comfort of non-SR trims. In the way of features, the Platinum only gets a few extra niceties over the SL, including a driver’s seat and mirror memory system, ambient in-cabin lighting, and a 360-degree view monitor. With the base engine, you get the option of AWD, but buyers equipping the turbo engine can only make use of a front-wheel drivetrain.
