The Nissan Ariya's safety has not been evaluated by either the NHTSA or IIHS, but the crash test conducted by EuroNCAP yielded excellent ratings for all safety criteria and an overall five-star score, so we expect the Ariya to do very well once it's tested locally.
NHTSA safety ratings are not available at this time.
The Ariya has all the obligatory safety features such as ABS, tire-pressure monitoring, stability control, and a backup camera, in addition to no fewer than ten airbags - or 11 on the Platinum+. The standard ProPilot Assist driver-assistance suite is navigation-linked and includes adaptive cruise control with pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, automatic forward and reverse braking, lane and blind-spot intervention with rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, traffic-sign recognition, driver-alertness monitoring, hill-start assist, and automatic LED headlights with auto high beams. These are all standard on the Venture+, while the Engage adds a head-up display and the Evolve+ adds a surround-view camera system, a camera-based digital rearview mirror, and rain-sensing wipers. The Empower+ and Platinum+ trims get standard semi-autonomous hands-free highway driving via ProPilot Assist 2.0 and automated parking via ProPilot Park.

We don't know anything about the Nissan Ariya's reliability yet because it's brand-new on the market. It hasn't been recalled for any safety concerns at the time of writing.
The 2023 Nissan Ariya's warranty coverage is average, with the limited warranty being valid for three years/36,000 miles, the powertrain warranty for five years/60,000 miles, and the battery warranty for eight years/100,000 miles.
The Ariya has not been crash-tested in the US yet, but five-star EuroNCAP results suggest that the Ariya is very safe. It also has at least ten airbags and a full suite of driver assists.
All the Ariya's below the Platinum+ have ten airbags - the front passengers each get a frontal, side, and knee airbag, the rear passengers get side airbags, and both the heads of both rows' passengers are covered by full-length curtain airbags. The Platinum+ additionally gains a far-side supplemental airbag to bring the total to 11 on that trim.
