The Nissan Leaf is an affordable entry point into the world of electric motoring, and the base model car named the Leaf S kicks things off with an impressive array of features, all for only $31,600. Powering the S is a 110 kW AC synchronous electric motor producing 147 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. Juicing the whole operation is a 40 kW battery. With the new decade comes a number of new standard features, including an eight-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth streaming, SiriusXM satellite radio, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Newly standard driver assistance features include auto-forward braking with pedestrian detection.
