2023 Versa Sedan Safety
Despite its small size, the Nissan Versa has a great safety rating. The NHTSA awards it an overall rating of five stars, though the frontal and rollover crash tests only earned four stars. The IIHS doesn't give as much of a comprehensive score as it usually does, but the areas it did test are all rated as Good.
2023 Versa Sedan Key Safety Features
The Versa impresses with a large number of standard safety features that include traction and stability control, ABS, EVD, and an impressive total of ten airbags: dual front, front side, front knee, rear side, and two-row side curtain. That's more than many premium brands offer. It also comes with forward-collision alert, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, hill-start assist, a rearview camera, high-beam assist, and rear automatic braking. You need to upgrade to the SV or SR trims to unlock the remaining features, which include automatic headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver-alertness monitoring system. The SR also has adaptive cruise control.
