It won’t be able to match a GT3 on the track, but the 911 Dakar will leave its sibling for dead on gravel or sand. The raised ride height, external body protection, and all-terrain tires help the 911 Dakar provide plenty of mud-slinging thrills and dedicated Rallye and Offroad driving modes have been developed to maximize its potential off of smooth tarmac. But in so many other ways, it’s the same crushingly capable 911. That means you get a pair of snug bucket seats, an interior decked out in sporty materials like Race-Tex, and a usable 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with all the essentials like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. It’s also about as customizable as any other 911, allowing customers to choose the color and material of even the smallest cabin details, or to jazz up the exterior with a choice of colors or decals.
