The differences to the exterior of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic compared to the 911 Turbo are immediately apparent and you see the classic Fuchs-style staggered 20-/21-inch center-lock alloy wheels and the body-color carbon-fiber ducktail spoiler first, both styling cues taken from the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7. There are more Easter eggs for the eagle-eyed: The red in the Porsche crest is replaced with a more orange shade of the color, the way it was in 1963, and the exterior badging is rendered in a delightfully retro gold. The usual LED headlights with their four-point motive feature in front, but the rear bumper has a different diffuser insert with two big oval exhaust outlets in place of the Turbo's quad pipes. Anoraks will also note that the Sport Classic has uniquely designed rear quarter panels that lack the oblong air intakes of the Turbo trims in front of the rear wheels. The air intakes have been moved out of view to underneath the ducktail spoiler. A unique double-bubble body-color carbon-fiber roof features on the Sport Classic, so a sunroof is out of the question. The hood is also now made of carbon fiber.
The Porsche 911 Sport Classic's dimensions are nearly identical to those of the Turbo, with a length of 178.6 inches, a wheelbase of 96.5 inches, and a width of 74.9 inches with the mirrors folded (79.7 inches with them extended). The only size metric that differs is height; the Sport Classic is 51.2 inches tall, 0.1 inches less than that of the Turbo. The Sport Classic has a weight advantage of nearly 170 pounds thanks to the carbon roof and hood, and the loss of the AWD system and PDK transmission, so it weighs in at 3,468 lbs.
