For a price premium of nearly $50,000 over the standard Turbo Coupe, the Turbo GT Coupe is one of the fastest SUVs in the world in a straight line and on a track. As such, it comes standard with the whole gamut of Porsche performance enhancements that even the Turbo does not have, including carbon-ceramic brakes, specially developed Pirelli tires on 22-inch wheels, sports air suspension, and rear-axle steering. It is a numbers car that, besides its performance figures, offers very little over the standard Turbo in terms of standard equipment. In fact, in the interest of saving weight, it gets 8-way power front seats and is downgraded to a simpler 10-speaker audio system, although the Turbo Coupe’s 14-speaker Bose setup can be reinstated at no extra cost. As an SUV that defies physics, it has no equal.
