As is common for US luxury vehicles with the badge of a sports car manufacturer, neither the IIHS nor the NHTSA has yet conducted reviews to determine the crashworthiness of the Macan. That said, plenty of standard and available safety tech should keep you safe.
NHTSA safety ratings are not available at this time.
The Macan provides plenty of safety for occupants in the event of a crash through frontal, side-impact (for both front and rear passengers), and curtain airbags. These are supplemented by rain-sensing wipers, hill start assist, hill descent control, lane departure warning, a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a post-collision braking system. Available features include adaptive LED Matrix headlights, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and forward collision alert with autonomous emergency braking and pedestrian detection.

Thus far, the Porsche Macan seems to offer exemplary reliability, having last been subject to recalls in 2018 for problems like a faulty control unit and a potential fuel leak. And, reviews of the Porsche Macan from J.D. Power returned a score of 80 out of 100 overall.
Should anything go awry, Porsche provides limited and powertrain warranties for the first four years/50,000 miles and 12 years of corrosion protection with no mileage limit. A year or 10,000 miles is the period within which one can take advantage of complimentary scheduled maintenance.
