For 2021, the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo is now the Panamera Turbo S Sport Turismo. Power, once again, is sourced from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, now upgraded with 620 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque instead of the last year's 550 hp and 567 lb-ft. Porsche engineers made improvements to the crankshaft, connecting rods, torsional vibration dampers, and gave it new fuel injectors.
Expect exhilarating performance, with 0-60 mph in only 2.9 seconds, though Launch Control must be engaged. That figure is a 0.5-second improvement over the old Turbo. Top speed is also impressive at 196 mph.
Like the rest of the 2021 Panamera Sport Turismo lineup, the Turbo S Sport Turismo features some exterior styling updates, most notably up front and the taillights. To separate it even further from the rest of the lineup (and to give it some additional exclusivity), the Turbo S has a front fascia design all its own with larger air intakes and a cool lighting signature.
The interior boasts a new GT Sport steering wheel covered in soft leather. There are standard 14-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats and a 14-speaker Bose sound system. There's also an optional 21-speaker Burmester surround system. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport-roll stabilization system with torque vectoring and ceramic composite brakes are also standard fare.
Official pricing has yet to be announced, but we expect it'll be slightly higher than last year. Porsche will begin accepting orders in early 2021 followed by deliveries starting next spring.
