For 2021, the Panamera Turbo is now the Panamera Turbo S. It continues to come powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, though it now produces 620 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque instead of the previous 550 hp and 567 lb-ft. Porsche points out it made improvements to the crankshaft, connecting rods, and torsional vibration dampers. There are also new fuel injectors.
Performance will once again be thrilling. Zero-60 mph will happen in just 2.9 seconds with Launch Control, a 0.5-second improvement over the outgoing 2020 Turbo model. The top speed has been clocked at 196 mph.
Like the rest of the 2021 Panamera lineup, the Turbo S has a number of exterior styling enhancements, such as the taillights. The Turbo S also has its own front fascia design featuring larger air intakes and a unique lighting signature.
Step inside and you'll find a new GT Sport steering wheel wrapped in leather. 14-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats are standard, as is a 14-speaker Bose sound system. There's also a 21-speaker Burmester surround system available. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport-roll stabilization system, featuring torque vectoring, is standard, as are ceramic composite brakes.
We still don't have official pricing, but Porsche says this will be announced the time orders will get underway in early 2021. Customer deliveries will start next spring.
