Porsche hasn’t wasted any time in growing its electric vehicle line-up, and now we have the Taycan Cross Turismo to look forward to, essentially the wagon version of the marque’s all-electric Taycan. Without another EV wagon on the market, the Taycan is the first in what will likely be a growing niche as electrification infiltrates just about every market segment.
For now, the Taycan Cross Turismo’s power outputs are unconfirmed, but we expect it to at least match the standard Taycan in this area, as the wagon is likely to be carrying more weight. That would mean 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S versions, and over 500 horsepower in base form. The regular Taycan can travel up to 288 miles on a single charge if specified with the larger battery.
Besides its distinctive wagon shape, the Cross Turismo will also offer increased cargo capacity over the regular Taycan. Ever since the high-riding Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo was first revealed in 2018, we’ve been anticipating the arrival of the production version, although it remains to be seen if the Taycan Cross Turismo will have any off-road capability at all. At the very least, expect a really quick EV wagon towards the end of 2020. Pricing is unconfirmed.
