2023 Taycan Sport Turismo Interior

The interior of the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo feels part spaceship command center, part luxury hotel. Porsche has done a great job of eradicating any physical buttons on the dashoboard. The interior space is dominated by massive displays, including a 16.8-inch curved display for the driver. The rest of the inside comprises high-quality materials and modern features that make this Porsche EV feel like a true luxury car. We adore the supportive 18-way power seats and the overall build quality that screams German engineering. The added practicality afforded by the extended rear end is also a big bonus.

Seating and Interior Space

Porsche classifies the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo as having a 2+2 seating arrangement, and we agree that only four adults should attempt driving in this car, as the second-row middle seat is tight and somewhat uncomfortable. The good news is that those four adults will have a comfy time sitting in this car. Although there are no official interior dimensions, we can confirm that taller passengers will have no trouble finding a comfortable position thanks to a set of adaptive 18-way power front seats with heating. Those in the rear get a folding center armrest.

Interior Colors and Materials

We appreciate Porsche's efforts to make each of its cars as individualized as possible, and when it comes to the interior materials and colors for the Taycan Sport Turismo, there are tons of choices. Your standard offering is Black Race-Tex. Leather and leatherette schemes such as Black and Slate Grey are a no-cost option, but dual-tone colors such as Blackberry/Slate Grey will set you back $570. The special GTS interior package is available in Chalk or Carmine Red and costs $5,330. The Olea Club Leather option costs up to 3,010 and includes colors such as Truffle Brown and BaslatBlack/Atacama Beige. Trim materials on offer include aluminum, wood, and carbon fiber.

Thanks to its extended wagon-style body shape, the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo offers significantly more cargo space than the standard car. The frunk offers 2.9 cubic feet of space, which is the approximate capacity of a minion fridge, and behind the rear seats, you get a healthy 15.8 cubic feet of trunk space. Flip down the 60:40 rear seats, and you get a sizable 42.8 cubic feet. The Audi RS6 Avant, a more traditional wagon, offers 30 cubes behind the rear seats and is a superior family wagon, but the Porsche never pretends to be an old-school wagon. Small items are stored in the glove compartment, front center console, front or rear door pockets, and both front and rear passengers get their own cup holders.

2023 Taycan Sport Turismo Infotainment and Features

Features

Customers in the USA get a decent helping of standard features, but the really good stuff is kept on the options list. Each Taycan Sport Turismo comes with ambient interior lighting, two-way automatic climate control, comfort access, a HomeLink programmable garage door opener, heated 18-way power sport seats, fort USB-C charging ports, and a 16.8-inch driver info display. Standard driver assistance features include lane-keep assist with traffic sign recognition, cruise control, and front and rear ParkAssist. The options list contains cool tech such as a surround-view system and head-up display, as well as comfort features such as thermal- and noise-insulated glass and ventilated front seats.

Infotainment

With screens pointing at you from every direction, the cabin of the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo can feel a bit intimidating at first, but the updated display is quick to respond to inputs, and the menu system is simple enough. The standard 10.3-inch screen now displays colors more vividly than before and features SiriusXM satellite radio, FM radio, Bluetooth streaming, voice control, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The standard sound system features ten speakers with a total power output of 150 Watts. Porsche also offers rear passengers their own infotainment experience, and the sound system can also be upgraded to a high-performance Bose system or a mighty $7,000 Burmester 3D system with enough speakers to fill the Sydney Opera House.
