2023 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo Interior

Just like the futuristic exterior, the interior of the 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo looks the part of a modern luxury performance EV. The clean dashboard lacks any trace of a physical button (which is not to everyone's liking) and is dominated by a plethora of screens. As you'd expect from Porsche, the material choice is spot on, and the fit and finish are of the highest standard. Visibility out the front is impressive, and the cabin feels airy yet sporty and focused simultaneously. Wagons such as the Audi RS6 Avant take a more literal approach to the performance interior concept, but this being an EV, we think Porsche has struck an outstanding balance between driver involvement, comfort, and space.

Seating and Interior Space

Front passengers will have no issue getting comfortable thanks to a set of adaptive sport seats with 18-way power adjustability, memory, and a power steering column. The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo's 2+2 seating layout offers ample seating for adults or five at a squeeze and, thanks to its wagon-like design, offers increased front and rear headroom when compared to the sedan. As an added bonus, both front and rear seats get heating. Getting in and out of the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo is easy enough, thanks to its slightly raised ride height. Massage front seats are a $2,000 option for those brutalized by this car's mad acceleration.

Interior Colors and Materials

This might be an eco-friendly EV, but Porsche still opts for leather to upholster the cabin of the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo. The standard leather seats of the Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo are offered in colors like Black, Slate Grey, Blackberry, Black and Limestone Beige, Black and Bordeaux Red, Blackberry and Slate Grey, and Black and Chalk. Those same colors are offered in Race-Tex material. For $2,450, you can get club leather seats in your choice of Black, Truffle Brown, Basalt Black, and Atacama Beige, or Basalt Black and Meranti Brown. The interior trimmings are offered in brushed aluminum, wood, or carbon fiber. The seatbelts can be had in various colors, including Blackberry, Graphite Blue, and Meranti Brown.

2023 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo Trunk and Cargo Space

Wagons are all about space, and despite not being a traditional wagon, the 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo's trunk and overall cargo space are pretty impressive. The front luggage compartment offers a snug 2.9 cubic feet of space, which is perfect for a couple of naughty bricks. Pop the power rear liftgate, and you're met with 14.3 cubic feet. That's good for a decent run to the shops, but being a wagon, most will want more space. Luckily the back seats fold in a 60:40 split to reveal a total of 41.4 cubes. To put that in context, the Audi RS6 Avant offers 30 cubic feet behind the rear seats.

In terms of small items, the Turbo Cross Turismo offers a glove box, a front center console storage bin, front, and rear door pockets, and four cup holders.

2023 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo Infotainment and Features

Features

The interior of the 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo looks like something out of an episode of Black Mirror: there are a ton of screens everywhere, hiding a ton of tech features, but there are some tangible niceties too. There's front and rear seat heating, front 18-way adjustable power sport seats, two-zone automatic climate control, and four USB-C charging ports scattered throughout the cabin. In front of the sport steering wheel with a power steering column sits a 16.8-inch curved driver info display. Driver assistance features on offer include ane keep assist with traffic sign recognition, cruise control, front and rear park assist with a reversing camera, comfort access, and a HomeLink programmable garage door opener.

Infotainment

At the center of the Turbio Cross Turismo's dashboard sits a neatly integrated 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a vertically mounted 8.4-inch touchscreen below it. This system features all the tech you'd expect in a luxury EV sports car from 2023. Standard features include integrated navigation, FM and HD radio, SiriusXM satellite radio with a trial subscription and Bluetooth streaming. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included, as is a 14-speaker Bose sound system with 710 watts of power and a built-in subwoofer. This system works well enough, but the lack of buttons can frustrate some and distract the driver in some cases. For an additional $5,810, new owners can fit a serious Burmester 3D high-end surround sound system with 21 speakers, a two-way center system, and a 400-watt subwoofer. This system sounds great when blasting Troglodyte by Viagra Boys.
