2023 ProMaster Cargo Van Exterior
The ProMaster Cargo sports the truck-like front grille with prominent RAM lettering in chrome. More chrome can be added to the grille optionally. It gets a sharper new look this year with a new front fascia and new halogen headlights, which can be upgraded to LED headlights. LED foglights are also now available. In most other regards, the van is simply a rectangular block with halogen headlights and riding on 16-inch steel wheels, with optional 16-inch alloys. A Black Appearance package blacks out the exterior trim and badging and comes with black 16-inch alloys. The van gets four possible body lengths and three roof heights, with the Super High Roof being new this year. The rear doors open at 260-degree angles, while there is a sliding door on the right-hand side as standard. The 3500 derivatives get access to an optional rear roll-up door this year. A left-hand sliding door can be optioned with windows instead of plain panels on the 3500, and all trims get access to hinged rear cargo doors with windows.

Dimensions
With multiple body configurations available, the dimensions of the van can vary dramatically. Only the van's width remains the same across every model and configuration, at 80.3 inches excluding the mirrors. There are three wheelbase options: 118 inches, 136 inches, and 159 inches.
The smallest model is the 1500, measuring 195.4 inches long with the shortest wheelbase, while the 3500 can measure up to 250.6 inches when equipped with the extended body. The standard roof gives the van an overall height of 91.7 inches, with the high roof increasing this to 103.6 inches. Ram has not provided a height figure for the Super High Roof, but it's a good few inches higher than the high roof. With all these options, curb weight can be anything between 4,554 and 5,061 pounds, the latter for the 159"-wheelbase extended body 3500 with the high roof. Again, no figures are provided for the Super High Roof, but it should be another few pounds heavier.

Exterior Colors
The color palette for the ProMaster Cargo consists of ten options, with the no-cost options being Black, Bright White, Flame Red, and two new colors: Ceramic Grey and Spitfire Orange. Broom Yellow disappears from the list this year. You can slap on a coat of Patriot Blue Pearl, Deep Cherry Red Crystal, or Sandstone Pearl for an additional $200, while Granite Crystal and Bright Silver each add $250 to the final bill. School Bus Yellow is no longer offered.
