If you don’t require the 3500’s extended-length body, the 2500 still has plenty of space available to fit passenger seats at the back or configure a variety of cargo storage possibilities. Equipment levels are modest, with the standard infotainment system lacking the likes of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also don’t get driver aids like blind-spot monitoring, although a rearview camera is, thankfully, standard. The 2500’s maximum payload is 3,940 lbs, some 350 lbs less than the longer 3500. On the options list are alloy wheels, remote start, and the Interior Convenience Group which offers additional storage options for smaller items.
