The Ram ProMaster Window van is a barebones workhorse off the bat, but with lots of customization available on the options list. Available in standard 2500 guise or as the extended-length 3500, the van comes with just one, or two seats up front and a whole empty space to do with as you seem fit. A 3.6-liter V6 engine provides 276 hp and 250 lb-ft to the front wheels, while a nine-speed automatic does duty. It rolls on 16-inch steel wheels as standard.
Inside, the ProMaster Window Van comes with cloth or vinyl upholstery and four-way manually adjustable seating for at least one person. A second seat can be optioned on at no cost. Uconnect 5 is standard, and a seven-inch touchscreen display with four speakers make up the infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, together with air conditioning, and the safety suite comprises pedestrian and cyclist emergency braking, crosswind assist, drowsy driver detection, a backup camera, traffic sign recognition, and trailer sway damping.
The Ram van is quite barebones, but there are a number of packages that bulk up the standard feature list. The Driver Convenience Group costs $1,995 and includes features such as blind-spot monitoring and cross-path detection, front fog lamps, heated power mirrors, a remote start system, and a surround-view camera. Various other features are available in numerous bundles, with the $595 Convenience Group adding ambient interior lighting, cargo netting, a shelf above the roof trim, underseat storage, and front fog lamps. For $350 you can add lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring with cross-path detection, while $695 nets you the LED Premium Exterior Lighting Group, which does exactly what it says on the box.
The Premium Convenience Group will add $1,845 to the bill and adds automatic high beams, a 7-inch TDT color cluster, passive entry, traffic sign information, the upgraded Uconnect 5 Nav with a larger touchscreen, and wireless charging. A cheaper version of this package is available sans a few choice features. The Safety Group is priced at $1,645 and consists of daytime running lights, the ParkSense park assist system, and a few other features. Safety Group A costs $295 less and adds just the main features mentioned here. The Black Appearance Package will set you back $995 for blacked-out exterior goodies, while the Premium Appearance Group ($545) adds chrome. Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist is a $545 standalone option.
