The 9-5 is proof that there is hope in a post-GM Saab. The styling of this flagship sedan is said to be the direction Saab will be taking for their entire lineup. It looks fantastic on the outside, although some old GM remains on the interior, in the form of far too much hard plastic. It costs less than much of the competition, but frankly, it needs to. As nice a car as it is, it just isn’t nice enough to justify its price tag. Assuming that Saab eventually gets out of financial hot water, their first move should be to get the last of the GM out of this car.
