The BRZ is available in Premium and Limited trims. Both use the same 228 hp/184 lb-ft naturally-aspirated flat-four engine and rear-wheel drive. A six-speed manual and Torsen limited-slip differential are standard, but you can upgrade to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The standard safety kit includes seven airbags, LED lights, a rearview camera, ABS, tire pressure monitoring, and adaptive traction and stability control. Limited trim adds blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert. Equip an automatic transmission to either trim and you also get adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure intervention, sway warning, and lead vehicle start alert. The Premium is handsomely equipped with dual-zone climate control, manual tilt-and-telescoping steering column, USB charging ports, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Active Sound Control. The Limited trim adds 18-inch alloys with stickier Michelin performance tires, active headlights, and an Ultrasuede interior with red leather inserts. The seats are also heated here, and items like illuminated vanity mirrors add a touch of class.
