The Subaru Outback started life as a humble family station wagon that offered only the most basic amenities and was seen as more of a rural family transporter than a soccer-mom steed. Fast forward to 2022, and the Outback now delivers a seriously premium experience, especially in Touring XT guise. It’s a winning recipe that takes all the features from the standard Touring and pairs them with the powerful turbocharged engine with 260 hp on tap. Over and above the Limited XT, this model gets Nappa leather in an exclusive Java Brown color, but the front seats are now ventilated, while all outboard seating positions are heated. It’s a little easier to park thanks to a front camera with a 180-degree view, and there’s a built-in CD player if you still like using discs as your audio medium of choice.
