In terms of powertrain specs, both Toyota Corolla Hatchback trims are identical, with a 169-hp naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and CVT automatic. FWD is standard. Only two trim levels are offered: SE and XSE. The SE has 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, remote keyless entry, push-button start, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters, cloth upholstery, manual seat adjustment, and single-zone climate control. The infotainment system comprises an eight-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring, SiriusXM, and a six-speaker audio system.
The TSS 3.0 driver-assistance suite includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, road-sign recognition, lane-departure warning, and a proactive driving assistant. Many of the features are upgraded on the XSE, which gets bigger wheels, LED foglights, a digital gauge cluster, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats with a power driver's seat, a premium audio system, and more. Not many notable packages or options are offered save for additional driver assists on the SE, a black-out package on either trim, and a list of extras comprising a few protection and cargo-management extras and standalone accessories.
