2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Trims & Specs

LE, LE Nightshade Edition, XLE, XLE Nightshade Edition, Limited, and Platinum are the six Toyota Highlander Hybrid trims, and their specs are identical - they are all powered by the same naturally aspirated Atkinson-cycle 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired to electric motors - two in the case of the FWD trims and three in the case of the RWD ones. The combined power output of 243 hp is sent to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Two drivetrain configurations are available - standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.

All trim levels share exterior specifications such as all-LED exterior lighting (including foglights), alloy wheels, a height-adjustable power liftgate, and rear privacy glass. Inside, all trims have tri-zone climate control, a manually tilting/telescoping steering column, at least a power driver's seat, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shifter knob. The base infotainment system has an eight-inch touchscreen and includes smartphone mirroring, at least five USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system. Higher up the lineup, you get heated seats, a larger touchscreen, a power passenger seat, upgraded upholstery, and more. Items such as leather upholstery are options on some trims and standard on others, but limited package selections are offered; these include a few items or combinations of items such as the bigger infotainment display on the lower trims, and a surround-view monitor, the latter with or without a second-row bench on trims with the captain's chairs. AWD is optional on all trims.

Toyota's Safety Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard across the range. This comprises a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, left-turn intersection support, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing, full-speed adaptive cruise control, road-sign assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
