The sporty Highlander XSE is only available with the 2.4-liter engine, in either FWD or AWD. On the outside, it comes with model-specific 20-inch alloy wheels, black headlight accents, and twin exhaust outlets. The interior gets some faux carbon-fiber trim and model-specific combination SofTex upholstery, with an optionally available red leather setup adding extra spice complimented by ambient interior lighting. This isn’t just a style upgrade, however. Toyota makes some tweaks to the suspension as well, giving it a sportier feel.
