Powered by the same 1.8-liter engine paired to dual-electric motors, the Prius Prime range consists of three trim levels, namely Plus, Premium, and Advanced. All variants offer 121 horsepower configured to a front-wheel drivetrain and a CVT gearbox.
The entry point to the range is the Plus model, offering 15-inch wheels, LED headlights and daytime running lights, and climate control. Front seats are heated, although all upholstery is fabric, and a seven-inch display is included for infotainment purposes, together with a six-speaker sound system. Toyota Safety Sense and Star Safety is equipped from the base model upwards and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. The middle of the range is represented by the Premium trim. It upgrades the interior to leatherette with an 11.6-inch split-screen display system, wireless charging for your smartphone, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Keyless entry, together with push-button start and illuminated entry is also standard on this trim. The Advanced level is the fully-loaded version of the Prius Prime and offers a heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, a heavy-duty sliding cargo area cover and most notably, a premium ten-speaking JBL sound system. The Prius Prime App is also part of this package, detailing charging stations on a map, as well as a vehicle finder facility.
