There is a significant bump in standard features when you upgrade to the XSE. This includes plusher SofTex leatherette upholstery, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and heated front seats. There are a few more driver-assistance features, too, such as front and rear parking assist, and you can opt for a lot of additions not available to the SE. The exterior remains the same aside from the 19-inch alloy wheels, and while these look nice, they do hurt ride comfort and fuel economy.
