As the entry point to the Tacoma range, the SR is a bit sparsely equipped. It is one of only two trims that come standard with the lackluster four-cylinder engine, and it gets 16-inch steel wheels as opposed to alloys. But that doesn’t mean it is without merit. The cloth-trimmed seats are comfortable and air conditioning keeps the cabin cool on hot days. A seven-inch touchscreen grants access to full smartphone integration, including Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A six-speaker sound system plays all the audio, and you even get SiriusXM for extra listening options.
