Two e-Golf trims are available, the SE and the SEL Premium. A 100 kW electric motor producing 134 hp and 214 lb-ft, paired with a 35.8 kWh battery pack, is standard on both models. This engine powers the front-wheel drivetrain and comes mated to a single-speed direct drive transmission.
The base SE comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights and taillights, a 7.2 kW onboard charger and a new DC fast charger. Basic features comprise cruise control, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, an eight-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an eight-speaker sound system with AM/FM/CD/MP3 playback. While more advanced driver safety features are available, only a rearview camera comes standard. The SEL Premium adds blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, parking sensors. LED headlights are installed and the feature list is padded with adaptive cruise control, a 12.3-inch digital cockpit cluster and a larger 9.2-inch touchscreen display.
