2023 Golf GTI Exterior
The exterior of the Mk8 VW Golf GTI hatchback is sharp and we like it. At the front, the car features adaptive LED headlights, LED foglights with a cornering function, and a large honeycomb grille. We love the foglights' checkered-flag appearance. The long LED daytime running lights give the GTI a menacing look. The rear end sports LED taillights and a big diffuser with a pair of polished exhaust tips incorporated into the design. S and SE models ride on 18-inch five-spoke wheels, while the 40th Anniversary Edition gets black 19-inch alloys with red accents borrowed from the European GTI Clubsport 45, black mirror caps, and a choice of four paint colors with a contrasting black roof. The Autobahn gets diamond-turned 19-inch alloys. The SE and Autobahn models also get a power sunroof.

The GTI has never been an in-your-face type of hot hatch and has traditionally been offered in a range of mature yet attractive exterior paint colors. The 2023 GTI in base form is available in six colors.
